You are in Agave home and you will be improving your spanish of course, but also agave  cultural products as mezcal, tequila, fibers and others…

Actually, our website is in a mixture english-spanish, perhaps french and dutch is going to be other languages soon!

You are welcome and enjoy in drops tequila and mezcal as remedies must to be ingested.

Our objetives are:

  1. Educating people -aficionados, consumers, sellers and producers- to know about tequila quality and sustainable practices.
  2. We have been supporting with knowledge commercial networks as Tequila Interchange Project, aficionado forums, producers and tequila leaders. Now, we must to be supporting the most weak part of the tequila industry: farmers, environment and agave plants.
  3. Biology conservation as blue agave conservation landraces and others species and uses.
  4. Strength links with networks with the same philosophy.

Jimador jimando agavesMore than 1000 tequila brands are in the market made by one clon of Agave tequilana blue with a very narrow genetical basis.  It has been very dangerous and in a monocrop system it needs alot of chemical fertilisers and pesticides.

People as consumers need to be sure about the safety, people producing must to be responsible.

Today, there are not more ways to produce more and better blue agave, just doing agroecology and interbreeding blue agave with their nearest relatives agaves.

We are promoting this research and encouraging mexican students and farmers to have more biological biodiversity in plantations and in the near future, new tequilas with blue agave and their relatives: siguin and criollo (pata de mula).
